Brunswick Eye and Contact Lens Center welcomes Dr. Lauren Yovich to the office!!! We are thrilled to have her! Dr. Yovich is no stranger to the office. She began Shadowing Dr. Lacey while she was an undergraduate in college back in 2015, which lead to a position as an optometric technician responsible for glaucoma testing in the office. She graduated from Defiance College, and recieved her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Yovich completed externships at the Ft. Wayne VA, the Quantico Naval Base, and various private optometric practices.
In our office, Dr. Yovich is the leader of the Vision Therapy program helping children with eye teaming issues teaching them to use their eyes together more efficiently with eye exercises. She is also proficient in diagnosing and treating glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, red eye, and prescribing glasses and contact lenses. If your child is struggling in school with reading, eyestrain, headaches, switching letters/words around, or reading comprehension, then make and appointment with Dr. Yovich! She will do a comprehensive sensorimotor exam to determine if your child needs vision therapy! There is a 95% success rate with children that go through the vision therapy program.
In her spare time, Dr. Yovich enjoys cooking new recipes, gardening, watching sports (especially tennis), and chasing around her rambunctious cat Jimmy.
